Jews for Jesus Has a New International Executive Director!
by David Brickner, Executive Chairman to the American Board
I am privileged beyond words to announce that the Lord has raised up my successor for the position of Jews for Jesus International CEO. With a full heart and full confidence, I’m pleased to tell you that Aaron Abramson is God’s choice to lead Jews for Jesus into a bright future.
While this may seem sudden to some, when I turned 60, I began to sense the Lord’s leading to start laying the groundwork for someone else to carry on the role that had been entrusted to me nearly three decades ago. As I continued to lead, I also began to plan and pray for this day. That was five years ago!
I have known Aaron for more than 25 years and have found him to be a gifted leader, passionate about the gospel and someone whom I greatly respect. Together, we have experienced how trustworthy God is, and as you’ll see, our selection process was designed specifically to follow His lead.
Twenty-eight years ago, when we voted on Moishe Rosen’s successor, there were several likely candidates – and I had no idea that I would be the one chosen. But all of us were energised to see God’s hand in the process, confirming His leading. I’m excited to see that same fresh breath of God’s enabling power as Aaron takes on the mantle of leadership.
Meanwhile, I am not retiring, but with great joy and anticipation, I’m moving into my new role of Executive Chairman of the American Board of Directors, a full-time ministry position where I’ll continue to serve and be helpful to our new CEO. I intend to be Aaron’s biggest cheerleader, and I hope you’ll join me in celebratory support and confident prayer for this exciting new chapter of his life and the life of Jews for Jesus.
