July Prayer Points
Shalom, prayer warriors,
At this halfway point of 2024, we wanted to take a moment and reflect on the year so far. As we looked back, we realised that we could not stop at January or even 7 October – even though it has influenced us all so greatly. We realised that we had to remember the Lord’s great faithfulness throughout all generations (Psalm 90). As we have meditated on this, we have been encouraged to look ahead with faith and hope, remembering that He who began a good work in us will bring it to completion.
And you will say in that day: “Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted. “Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth.” (Isaiah 12:4-5)
You shall not be afraid of them but you shall remember what the Lord your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt. (Deuteronomy 7:18)
Please join us in praying for:
the new Jewish contacts we are ministering to. Pray that the Lord will continue to draw them to the truth of Messiah Jesus, circumcise their hearts (Deuteronomy 10:16, 30:6) and open their eyes to the identity of their Messiah;
our ministry partners as we stand together against anti-Semitism and share the gospel of Jesus with the Jew first and also the Gentile;
our upcoming evangelistic outreaches. Pray that the Lord would connect us with Jewish people whose hearts are open to receive the truth of Jesus, the Messiah. Please also pray for us as we plan and prepare for these events; and
our ongoing Jewish-Gentile couple ministry as we journey with these precious couples, helping them navigate their cultural complexities and point them to Messiah Jesus.
In Jesus, the light of the world,
The Jews for Jesus South Africa Team
