February Prayer Points
Shalom, dear prayer warriors,
Ever since the onset of COVID, we have been asking the Lord for creative and novel ways to connect and build bridges with the Jewish community in South Africa. It is no secret that there has been a lot of tension between us and them over the years, and our reputation in the Jewish community is not favourable, to say the least. But we are starting to see a shift and the beginnings of an openness towards us. It is still early days, but we rejoice over the changes thus far. The Lord has laid plans on our hearts; some appear to be coming to fruition, and some do not. This, at times, leads to frustration and sadness, but we trust the Lord to build His church.
Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness! (Psalm 115:1)
Please join us in praying for:
the Lord to continue guiding us in forging connections and building bridges with the Jewish community.
the Lord to reveal which of our plans we should continue pursuing and which we should postpone – or even cancel.
opportunities for us to bring together the body of Messiah and the Jewish community to stand against anti-Semitism and for us to display the love of the Father to our Jewish people.
a new plan to connect with our contacts and the Jewish community this coming Passover since our existing plans have not come to fruition for reasons beyond our control.
the Lord to connect with new partners both within the body of Messiah and the Jewish community.
In the Who Was, Who Is and Who Is to Come,
The Jews for Jesus South Africa Team
