October Prayer Points

Shalom, prayer warriors,

It has now been over a year since the atrocities of 7 October and the subsequent war in Israel. The Lord's calling for Israel as a nation is to be a 'light to the nations' (Isaiah 42:6), but this past year has been a very dark time for Israel and our Jewish people. We who have found salvation in Jesus, the Jewish Messiah, have an opportunity and an obligation to be a light to Israel. This can take many forms but, sometimes, can be a simple act or gesture of love and support, which the Lord can multiply in ways we could never hope or imagine.

They said to him, "We have only five loaves here and two fish." And he said, "Bring them here to me." Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass, and taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. (19-17:14 Matthew)

Please join us in praying for:

  • the Lord to continue building and establishing bridges between the Jewish and Christain communities in South Africa.

  • the Lord to protect our Jewish people from not only direct attacks of anti-Semitism but also the fear and anxiety that comes with the threat of anti-Semitism.

  • the Lord to reveal himself to those consumed with the spirit of anti-Semitism who hate our Jewish people simply for being Jewish. Pray that the Lord would reveal the truth and love of Jesus to them, that they might be saved.

  • the Lord to continue to draw our Jewish people to Himself in this season of the High Holy Days and Sukkot. Pray they will begin to see the truth of Jesus as their long-awaited Messiah.

  • secret believers in Jewish communities to be strengthened and encouraged at this time. And pray that they will be emboldened to begin sharing their faith in Yeshua with their community.

  • the Christian church, the bride of Messiah, to continue to be roused to the truth of the Lord's plan for Israel and the Jewish people and that there will be a continued wave of support from Christians, demonstrating the love of Messiah to them.

  • the remaining hostages, their families and the families of Israeli soldiers who have fallen in battle. Pray that the Lord would comfort them as they mourn, and they would take refuge in the Lord and find hope in Him.

In Yeshua, the light of the world,
